We've driven the Beartooth at least half a dozen times. Been on the Chief Joseph several times also. They are both such a thrill. In 2001, we got across the Beartooth late one afternoon, and it closed for the season the next day. We had to go around thru Cody to get back into Yellowstone that year. Beartooth was an icy nightmare that afternoon. We are going into the park from Red Lodge this year. I hope to see wolves and big horn sheep this trip. Glad to hear that you found bear spray. I'm really getting excited about the trip. Only 2 weeks until we leave.
